  1. The Nature of God: We believe that God is a Spirit. John 4:24

  1. God has all power.  Genesis 18:14

  2. God has all knowledge.  Acts 15:8

  3. God is ever present.  Psalms 139:7-12

  4. God is Holy and perfect. Isaiah 6:3; 43:15

  5. God is excellence: Deuteronomy 32:4; II Samuel 22:31; Ps 18:30

  6. God is transcendence of God Isaiah 46:5

 

  1. What We Believe About Jesus Christ:

  1. Deity of Jesus Christ.  Philippians 2:6-8; Romans 8:3

  2. Became like man. Hebrews 2:14-17; John 1:1-2.

  3. Conceived by the Holy Spirit.  Luke 1:35, Matthew 1:20

  4. Gave us Salvation.  Luke19:10

  5. Payed the penalty for sins. 1 Peter 3:18

  6. Rose from the dead ascended to heaven.  Hebrews 7:25

  7. Advocate and Mediator. 1 John 2:1-2; John 14:6

 

  1. What We Believe About the Holy Spirit:

  1. Spirit of God.  1 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; 1 John4:2.

  2. Spirit of Christ.  Romans 8:9; 1 Peter 1-11.

  3. Spirit of the Lord.  II Corinthians 3:18

  4. Personality and Person.  John14:16, 16:7-8, 15:26; 16:13

  5. Inspired Holy men to write Scripture.  II Peter 1:21

  6. Interpreter of the Scriptures.  John16: 12-13; I Corinthians 2:12-14;                                         II Corinthians 4:3-6

 

 

 

 

  1. What We Believe About Salvation

  1. Gift only received by grace, through faith.  Romans 5:1-2; 10:8-10.

  2. Granted to humanity as God’s free grace. Ephesians 2:8-9

  3. Cannot be earned.  Romans 3:26-28

  4. Through Salvation we are made new.  II Corinthians 5:17

  5. Any person can receive it. Acts 2:38; Romans 6:23; Psalms 51:3-4; Romans10:23;  1 Peter 3:18, Romans 10:9

 

  1. What We Believe About the Holy Scriptures

  1. It is the Word of God.  II Peter 1:20-21

  2. The scripture is perfect.  Psalms 19:8-9

  3. Revelation to man.  Psalms119:128; 17:17; John 17:17

  4. Standard for the Christian life.  Galatians 1:6-9

  5. Moral guide.  Psalm 119:11-24; 105-106; Romans 15:4

  6. Standard for the church ministry. 1 Timothy 3:14-15

  7. Foundation for teachings, convictions, and instruction.  II Timothy 4:16-17

 

  1. What We Believe About the Return of Jesus Christ

  1. His return is not known.  Matthew 24:42b.

  2. Return without announcement.  Matthew 24:44; 1 Thessalonians 5:22

  3. Return for the gathering his people.  John 14:3; Revelations 21:2-3.

  4. Return for completely the saints.  John 3:2

  5. Transaction from mortal to immortal.  I Corinthians 15:51-53;                          Revelations 21:3-4

  6. Resurrected from the dead. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-16; 1 Corinthians 15:52-53.

Rapture of the church.  Matthew 25:21, 23, 34; Revelations 22:14
